America's Team: Vermont Introduces Itself to the College Basketball World
What a game in Queens last night. Vermont and St. John’s traded punches throughout the full 40-minute contest that literally came down to the final seconds, with the Catamounts eventually prevailing by a score of 70-68. It is very cool (no pun intended) how Mr. Cat, Mr. Commenter, and Hank have hyped this team up during the preseason and early portion of the season so far, and it is great to see how the players and staff have remained locked in despite all the (positive) outside noise.
I obviously have a bit of a bias here, but there is no ceiling on the 2019-2020 Vermont Catamounts. Anthony Lamb is a superstar. Coach John Becker and his staff have the experience to get the job done when it matters most. The roster is full of experienced players who have their heads in the right place.
Watch out world, here come the Catamounts. We’re off to Charlottesville to take on the defending national champs.
